NOTICE is hereby given that the Madison County Economic Development Authority in, Canton, Mississippi will receive bids
until the hour of 2:00 p.m. local time, on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at the office of the Madison County Economic Development Authority, 135 Mississippi Parkway, Canton, Mississippi 39046 for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the construction of that certain project designated as “2026 WESTERN WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS”.
Bids may be submitted by either of the following methods:
1. Electronic Bids will be accepted until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026, by electronic submission as a PDF file at www.waggonerengplans.com. Each bidder submitting a bid electronically shall include its Certificate of Responsibility Number and a signed copy of the bid sheet as part of its PDF bid submittal. Any electronic PDF bid that does not include the bidder’s Certificate of Responsibility Number shall not be considered.
2. Sealed bids will be received until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Sealed bids shall be submitted to the office of the Madison County Economic Development Authority, 135 Mississippi Parkway, Canton, Mississippi 39046. All sealed bids submitted shall be marked on the outside face of the envelope Bid: “2026 WESTERN WATER SYSTEM IMPROVEMENTS” and shall have the bidder’s Certificate of Responsibility Number written on the outside of the envelope. If any envelope is not so marked, said bid shall not be opened or considered.

The total Contract Time will be 180 consecutive calendar days and the liquidated damages will be $500.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.
Bid security in the form of a bid bond, certified check or cashier’s check in the amount equal to 5% of the bid shall be furnished by each bidder as required by the contract documents.
Proposals must be qualified under Mississippi laws and shall hold current Certificates of Responsibility as issued by law.
Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder, and the MCEDA reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any and all informalities.
