NOTICE is hereby given that the Mayor and Board of Aldermen of the City of Philadelphia, Mississippi will receive written sealed bids until the hour of 10:00A.M. local time on Friday, December 10, 2021 at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Philadelphia, Mississippi, at the Philadelphia City Hall, 525 Main Street, Philadelphia, Mississippi 39350, for the furnishing of all labor and materials and for the repairs and renovations on Gymnasium Renovations – Booker T. Washington School.

The project is located at 234 Carver Avenue, Philadelphia, MS. The project includes reroofing and restoration of the existing building envelope, as well as installation of new windows and doors in the facility.

A Pre-Bid Meeting will be held at Philadelphia City Hall, 525 Main Street, Philadelphia, MS on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. ATTENDANCE BY ALL POTENTIAL CONTRACTORS, SUBCONTRACTORS, AND OTHER INTERESTED PARTIES IS STRONGLY RECOMMENDED.

Bidders shall submit their bids either in a sealed envelope or electronically. Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Clerk of the City of Philadelphia, Mississippi, at the Philadelphia City Hall, 525 Main Street, Philadelphia, Mississippi 39350. A view-only copy of the plans, specifications, and proposal documents are available at the Philadelphia City Hall, office of the City Clerk. Electronic bids may be submitted in lieu of a sealed bid through www.waggonerengplans.com

Bid documents are being made available via paper copy or digital copy (CD). Plan holders are required to register for an account and log-in at www.waggonerengplans.com At this site, plans can be viewed for no charge or physically purchased. All plan holders are required to have a valid email address for registration. Purchased bid documents are non-refundable and must be purchased through the website. A Bid Bond or a Certified Cashiers Check in the amount of 5% of the total bid price is required.

The total Contract Time will be 120 consecutive calendar days from Notice to Proceed and the liquidated damages will be $500.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter.

Award of this contract will be contingent upon the Contractor satisfying the DBE requirements of the City of Philadelphia.

Contract award will be to the lowest and best bidder and the Mayor and Board of Aldermen reserve the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities.
